Friday, June 26th from 3-5 PM. Chad VanZanten & Russ Beck will be signing copies of “On Fly-fishing the Northern Rockies: Essays & Dubious Advice”.

Saturday, June 27th from 1-3 PM. Poet, John Burgess will be signing copies of his latest book “by Land”. “This fourth collection …follows a narrative arc based on his (personal) intersections with the historic (Lewis & Clark) trail.  The work is a collage of poems, handwritten lists, typewriter poems, cartoons (aka graphic poems), a memoir in 10 fragments, maps and reassembled texts that riff on the (Lewis & Clark) journals.”  He will do a short reading at 2:00.

The world has lost a wonderful and gracious soul. Our deepest condolences to Hugh's loved ones. Hugh has been a steadfast supporter of Montana Book and Toy Company over the years, and his friendship and kindness will be dearly missed.

Our courteous, knowledgeable staff knows books and toys and are always happy to make suggestions. Judy Flanders opened the Montana Book Company in 1978 as the Little Professor Book Center.  The Montana Book Company has been an independent bookstore* for 13 years and is owned by sisters-in-law Jan Peccia and Didi Augustine Peccia.  Pam Sommer, the store manager, served as an educator for many years and has been with the company for well over 20 years.

The Montana Book Company is happy to count many of Helena’s largest organizations among our satisfied customers.  We provide a wide variety of services for local businesses and institutions including:
